My Winter Survival Guide

My Winter Survival Guide

As the days start to get colder and colder - there are some must need essentials that every girl should have in their closet. I will tell you the basics that need to have in order to survive the harsh winter, where you should get them, and how to only spend $200.

Now you might say ‘Wow Amanda - $200 that’s a lot!’. Well yes, but these are items that will wear everyday and when you start breaking down the math $200 dollars really doesn’t seem like a whole lot. So here are my recommendations.

Get yourself some some basic turtle necks. They look great on there own, but also work when you layer it under sweaters or cardigans. Layers are key to your winter survival guide. Here are some places that you can grab them from.

The next item on your winter survival guide is leggings. I sometimes wear leggings on top of leggings and pretty much under everything else. The winters can sometimes go to below minus 30 degree celsius without the wind factor yet in Toronto - that is pretty cold. The best leggings to get is fleece. Here are my recommendations.

The last piece of advice is to wear socks - the more you wear the better. Either layer them on or grab a pair of heated socks. Even if you are wearing boots still layer on the socks, and use thick cotton socks. I tend to always have cold foot and these heated socks have been my saving grace.

Only $23.00 these are cute heated socks.

Now start by grabbing these in your basic neutral colours - black, white, grey. These will be your building blocks to your winter survival guide, and these will be items that you will grow from. I can guarantee that you be grabbing these items first every time. I like to still do actives outside in the winter - whether it is skating or walking. I try to enjoy the winter as much as possible, and having these items have helped me through the cold and harsh winters.

Stay warm!

XO,

Amanda
